Fénix Animal Project Launches Free Global Platform Connecting Animal Welfare Organizations, Donors and Lost Pets With Their Families

The platform, available at fenixanimalproject.org, allows foundations and organizations to share their needs and donation methods, streamlines reporting of lost and found animals, and gathers verified assistance resources for natural disasters and other emergencies.

MIAMI — Aug. 17, 2026 — With the goal of making help reach those who need it more directly, Fénix Animal Project has launched: a free, global digital platform connecting animal welfare organizations and foundations with people who want to donate, help, or volunteer, while also offering tools to report lost and found animals and access assistance resources during emergencies.

Available at fenixanimalproject.org, Fénix Animal Project serves as a meeting point between those who need help and those looking for a reliable way to offer it. Foundations, shelters, rescuers and organizations can register their profiles for free and include information about their work, location, current needs, ways to help and donation methods — allowing people from around the world to learn about their work and support them directly.

Fénix Animal Project does not charge organizations to register or users to use the platform, and does not take a percentage of donations made to the organizations listed on it. The project was not created for profit; its purpose is to make information and resources easier to access and to shorten the distance between a need and someone willing to help.

A Tool for Finding Lost Animals

The platform also features a Lost & Found section designed to help reunite animals with their families. Users can post information about a lost or found animal, including photos, location and other relevant details that could help identify it. These posts can then be shared to widen their reach and increase the animal's chances of getting home.

The vision is for this tool to be usable regardless of the country a user is in, turning Fénix Animal Project into an international support network for lost and found animals.

Help When Emergencies Happen

One of the pillars of Fénix Animal Project is making reliable information accessible when earthquakes, wildfires and other natural disasters affect both people and animals. Through the More Resources section, users can find information related to specific emergencies, the needs of affected communities and verified organizations providing assistance.

Currently, for example, the platform includes resources related to the earthquake in Colombia, where users can find legitimate organizations offering humanitarian assistance and other forms of help. Donation links published in this section take users directly to the official website or authorized channel of the corresponding organization, allowing contributions to be made directly and securely. Fénix Animal Project does not act as a financial intermediary and does not receive a percentage of those donations.

The platform will continue to add resources for other emergencies and regions as they arise.

A Project Rooted in Animal Rescue

Fénix Animal Project grew out of years of hands-on experience in animal rescue and welfare, and a simple question: how can people who want to help more easily find those who truly need it? The project aims to complement the work already being done by organizations, foundations, shelters, rescuers and volunteers around the world, giving them an additional tool to make their needs visible and connect with an international audience.

Fénix Animal Project launched in August 2026 and remains in active development. Since launch, the platform has been continuously updated based on emerging needs, emergency situations and tools that make it more useful for organizations and users alike.

A Platform for Anywhere in the World

Fénix Animal Project was conceived from the start as an international project. fenixanimalproject.org is currently available in Spanish, English and French, with Portuguese, Mandarin, Italian and German versions in development, with the goal of removing language barriers so the tool can reach more communities.

In the long term, the mission is for someone who finds an animal in a city, a foundation that needs help after an emergency or someone who wants to donate from another country to be able to start their search from the same place.
